ODBDSLC206 - Pink, ivory and tan

The challenge, ODBDSLC206, at Our Daily Bread Designs is a colour challenge - to use pink, ivory and tan on your creation. I couldn't really find any ivory amongst my cardstock so I've improvised a bit :-) Here is my card:

I stamped the image (from Our Daily Bread Designs Faith) onto white cardstock and then covered it with double sided adhesive (you can buy it in large sheets). I've then diecut it out using ODBD Vintage Labels Dies. You then remove the top layer of the adhesive and add a generous amount of glitter! Burnish it really well into the adhesive (rub it, rub it again, and rub it some more) and shake off any excess. I've then used Copic markers to "colour in" the image - however, you need to be careful not to brush the nib over the glitter but rather just touch the nib to the glitter and the ink just infuses into the glitter/cardstock. (And you still may need to remove a few stray bits of glitter from the Copic nib before replacing the lid.) I'm calling this my "ivory" piece :-)

Faith is from the same stamp set as the image (ODBD Faith) and is diecut with the smallest die from ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Dies (I love this little "tag" :-) ). Before stamping and diecutting the word Faith - I swiped some Distress Stain Spun Sugar over the kraft cardstock to give it a hint of pink.

The border is diecut using ODBD Beautiful Borders Dies and I've also used ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Dies to emboss the pattern into my pink paper. The small bit of DP you can see is from the ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection.

  3. I didn't see but might have missed the glitter you used. But if it isn't Elizabeth Craft Design glitter you might look into that as it is micro fine and is made to use Copics to color on it.
